He was born in Mersin Tasucu in 1949. He completed high school at Tevfik Sirri Gur High School. He studied at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine between 1966-1972. He completed the Internal Medicine Specialization in Gulhane Military Medical Faculty in 1981 and the Cardiology Specialization in 1985. He worked in Mersin State Hospital between 1986-2008. In 2010, he started to work as a Cardiology and Internal Medicine Specialist at Private Mersin System Surgery Medical Center.
